Our oysters are carefully packed in chilltainers with gel packs to ensure they stay cool during transport. We use NZ Couriers for overnight delivery to cities and townships across New Zealand. Please note, we do not deliver to rural areas.

Orders and Dispatch Schedule

  • Sunday to Tuesday: Orders placed before 9pm will be dispatched the next day for overnight delivery.
  • Wednesday to Saturday: Orders placed on these days will be dispatched on Monday for overnight delivery.

Please ensure that someone is available to receive the order on the day of delivery.

Dispatch times depend on the farm’s availability. We’ll notify you of any delays.

Our Pacific Oysters are harvested from the Mahurangi river and select farms in the Bay of Islands in Northern New Zealand, ensuring the highest standards of quality and freshness.

Yes, sustainability is a fundamental principle of our business. We adhere to strict environmental standards to safeguard the health of our oyster beds and surrounding ecosystems.

Our harvest season runs from May to December, offering prime, naturally caught oysters. Note that heavy rainfall may halt operations, affecting availability. Per Ministry of Primary Industry guidelines, oyster farms must suspend for three days after rainfall exceeds 25mm in 24 hours to prevent contamination.

Credit Card Terms

Te Awa Oysters will make all endeavours to protect the security of your personal information, including credit and debit card information. We use Stripe as our primary payment gateway. When you submit personal information including credit card details, your card information is held securely and only for long enough to process the transaction.

For these purposes, we may:

  1. seek financial information from you (e.g. credit card details to process your transaction)
  2. contact you by direct mail, email or telephone, unless you request us not to.

We will not share our database with any other organisation and, unless otherwise legally required, will not give your personal information to anyone else without your prior consent.

REFUNDS, RETURNS OR DISPUTES

Te Awa Oysters will consider circumstances for refunds or cancellations of payments on a case by case basis. If you have made a payment you need to withdraw or dispute please contact us.
